The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics is redefining the way musculoskeletal care is delivered across the region with locations throughout Maryland, DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sungkwan Cho graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy in 2005 in South Korea, and worked with patients suffering from Central Nervous System conditions such as CVA (cerebrovascular accident commonly known as a stroke) and SCI (spinal cord injury).
Dr. Cho continued his education at Loma Linda University in California and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. He completed his PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) residency program at Kaiser, Vallejo California in 2012. He then went on to work with the outpatient population in Lancaster California from 2012-2015. He moved from California to Virginia in 2015 and began working at CAO. Dr. Cho is a certified Dry Needling practitioner and has excellent manual therapy knowledge and skills. He is progressive with his physical therapy techniques and has extensive experience in a variety of areas including neurologic rehabilitation, sports medicine, and orthopedics.
Dr. Cho enjoys cycling, hiking, and traveling when he is not at work.
