Ashley Smith DPT — Physical Therapist
Biography
Dr. Ashley Smith is an undergraduate of The Catholic University of America, where she was a member of the Women’s Basketball Team. She continued her education at Thomas Jefferson University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Ashley’s interest in physical therapy began as a teenager and again as a college student when she was a patient in physical therapy herself for several months at a time. Ashley battled her way through two ACL injuries and returned to play basketball at collegiate level.
Inspired by her own Physical Therapist’s ability to make such a profound impact on her life, Ashley switched her major halfway through college so she could apply to Physical Therapy School. Her life/career goal was to have the same impact on the lives of the patients she treats. Ashley enjoys spending the time to know her patients on a personal level while treating through an individualized approach to help each patient meet their goals. Outside of physical therapy, Ashley enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her niece Penelope.
